Kim Staunton is an award winning actress of stage, film, television and audio books with a wealth of artistic experiences. No stranger to television, Kim's network appearances have included guest starring roles on This Is Us, Army Wives, Eleventh Hour, The Nine (recurring), Bones, Strong Medicine, Judging Amy, City of Angels, Law & Order, New York Undercover, Crime Story, and former soap operas, One Life to Live and As the World Turns. Kim has been fortunate to do some of the greatest roles written for the stage as a guest company member at the Denver Center Theater Company for 14 seasons. At DCTC, she played Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Mama Nadi in Ruined, Rose in Fences and Black Mary in Gem of the Ocean to name a few. She represented DCTC as an inaugural Lunt-Fontanne Fellow at Ten Chimneys Foundation led by master teacher, the late, great Lynn Redgrave. She has also worked with the late, great theater giants, Lloyd Richards and August Wilson. Kim has worked at some of the country's leading regional theaters including Indiana Rep, South Coast Rep, Syracuse Stage, Milwaukee Rep, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Arizona Theatre Company, Seattle Rep, CTG/Kirk Douglas Theatre, Ebony Rep, Portland Stage Company, Lone Tree Arts Center, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Berkeley Rep, Virginia Stage Company, Hartford Stage, Folger Theater, Arena Stage and the O'Neill Theatre Center. She has appeared on Broadway in The Piano Lesson and countless shows off Broadway including several at the Negro Ensemble Company. Her use of language has crossed over to audiobooks where she has narrated many books all at audible.com including Beverly Jenkins Old West Series, Octavia Butler's Kindred, A More Beautiful, Terrible History by Jeanne Theoharis, and the Hana Ali memoir, At Home With Muhammad Ali to name a few. Kim resides in Los Angeles, California.
