Karen began as an actress in theatre at age 12 and television at age 15. Her acting career allowed an opportunity into the world of production where she began casting and producing films & television in 1993. Karen has over forty years of experience working in television and film. She spent ten years as Head of the Talent Department for DeLaurentiis Productions, where she was responsible for providing talent in major independent and studio films, managing international projects, and developing projects for the independent market. Throughout her extensive career she has worked with Hollywood's elite such as Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dennis Hopper, James Marsden, James Brolin, Jon Voight, and Val Kilmer among numerous others. In 2004, she opened her own production company and has worked with Time Warner, Showtime and Warner Bros, along with multiple independent films in producing programming of all genres. She is a motivational speaker and author. Karen inspires others through her theme, "Improve your life by living your dream". She has faced adversity as a cancer survivor, single mother, and veteran of the entertainment industry, and has used these experiences to help others. Although she takes pleasure in her professional accomplishments, her greatest points of pride remains her family and the efforts she lends towards encouraging others.
Karen is a British actor who trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and won the BBC's prestigious Carleton Hobbs Award in her final year there. She grew up in London, Surrey and in the North of England and has also spent time living in Brussels, where she studied French and completed a French diploma while providing regular voice overs for the studios in Belgium and Holland. Karen's theatre credits include Shakespearean roles, musicals, off Broadway plays and many comedy productions, both in London's West End and in venues throughout the UK and overseas. She is equally comfortable playing accented, character roles as she is playing 'straight' roles, and excels at characters who appear tough but have a deep vulnerability, and vice versa! Her many tv and film credits have seen her playing everything from medical professional to out and out party girl; from the perfect Mum to an ostentatious, blowsy businesswoman. Most recently Karen filmed episodes of 'Holby City' as top executive Regina Marriott and played Gertrude in Hamlet, with Freddie Fox.

Baker Landers first displayed an affinity for sound at age eleven when her parents gave her a tape recorder. She would walk around her house and make up stories just through sound effects. While studying Film at California State University at Long Beach, she impressed sound designers Richard Anderson and Mark Mangini, and they hired her to work at their company. In the early days of her career she met Per Hallberg. Realizing that they worked very well together, they began a professional partnership that has lasted over 25 years. Baker Landers appreciates having a colleague like Hallberg to bounce ideas off of. While she frequently supervises her own projects, she still enjoys collaborating with him whenever possible. Baker Landers was selected for Variety's Women's Impact List in 2013, and she is the first woman to ever win two Academy Awards for Sound Editing.
