Kate Romero
Kate Romero has worked for decades as a Life Coach, Talent Manager, Radio Host, and has a World Title in Arm Wrestling. Romero is also an avid Story Teller, and a Moth Story Slam Winner who competed in KCRW's (89.9) The Moth GrandSlam at the Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. She is also a recent Storyteller for KPCC's (89.3) UNHEARD LA Series where Kate told the story about how Harry Dean Stanton challenged her to an Arm Wrestling match with Rick James and what happened when she won (story is located in the Video's section of this IMDb Page). Kate has worked as an Actor turned Talent Manager for three decades and recently retired from management to return to her first love of Acting and to become a Stand-Up Comic. She is also creating a One-Woman Show called "Dearly Beloved" A Journey from Self-Loathing to Self-Love, and a Comedy Special aptly titled "Reckoning Ball." Some highlights of Kate's Acting career have been playing Midge in Married with Children, Jeanie in Growing Pains, a 1940's Pinup Girl with Bob Hope and Don Knotts for a Bob Hope Special, and most recently Showtime's Twin Peaks, The Return. The only child of Helen Spear Howell, a factory worker and Daniel Lincoln Howell, a farmer, continues to live on that family farm. She married her high school sweetheart, Henry David Sanford, on April 29, 1972. Affectionately known as HD, and professionally named Dave Sanford, her husband of 49 years is also a professional actor. She and her husband live on the tiny farm in Johntown, Kentucky. Kate is an avid gardener: She enjoys sharing flowers and vegetables grown on their farm.
