Born to theatrical parents, Katherine Mallen Kupferer made her professional stage debut in Chicago Shakespeare Theater's acclaimed production of Gypsy, and her major motion picture debut in Steve McQueen's Widows. Most recently, she can be seen as Gretchen in Lionsgate's long-anticipated film adaptation of Judy Blume's beloved classic Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret. In addition to her passion for screen and stage, Katherine is an avid equestrian and has been competing in horse trials (at the novice level) and Jumper shows and is the proud owner of "Piper", an eleven year old quarterhorse/thoroughbred cross that she has been successfully campaigning for the past two seasons.
