Romen McPherson is a true artistic performer in every sense of the word. His deep passion and vast array of talents have rewarded him with joy and accomplishment, always pushing for more, to discover more, to learn more, to be more, to share more. He is a multi-talented musician and a college football star athlete who continues coaching young athletes to this day. He is a talented actor and screen writer as well as a student and teacher of martial arts. His favorite role is that of Father to two beautiful young children and an amazing teenage step-son. Romen McPherson was born in Houston, TX yet traveled the world, for a few years he lived in Germany. He has since returned to the Sugar Land/Cypress, TX. His first performance during a High School talent show, he was the "Host MC" and his love of acting was ignited. Over the years, he has found purpose through various performances and experiences within the film industry. He enjoyed participating in a training video called "Run, Hide, Fight", produced by Homeland Security to educate the public in "Surviving and Active Shooter Event". It's a rewarding feeling to know that your work is being used to help others every day all over the Nation. Another memorable time during his career was working with his dear friend and very talented actress, Skye McCole Bartusiak, who passed away in 2014. He was awarded a full athletic scholarship as a "blue chip recruit", meaning he was in the top six favorite recruits in the State of Texas. He chose to attend the University of Houston where in his first game as a freshman, he was entitled the Exxon MVP Player of the Game and that season, played along side Heisman Trophy Runner-up, David Klinger. At the young age of eight, Romen realized the true power of music. He witnessed his stern, austere father jump out of his chair, laughing and dancing to Michael Jackson performing the Moon Walk to Billie Jean on television. Recognizing the power of music on another's demeanor, he vowed to make others as happy as his father was that day. It was during college, that he learned to play multiple instruments including guitar, bass, drums, and piano. He joined several Alternative and RnB /Jazz bands soon after. Romen later transferred to Texas State University where he earned a degree in Radio, Television and Electronic Media. Romen was invited to several NFL camps, however due to an injury, life had a different plan for him. While focusing on his young family and living the corporate life, he began to investigate Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian JuJitsu (with Urban Jungle and Royce Gracie) affiliation. He eventually competed in the MMA and holds a brown belt today. Romen has proven to be a talented artist in all aspects of his life. His mode of expression may vary from music, acting, and athletics but to him....it's all simply "Poetry-in-Motion".
