After being selected for aptitude training he went on to qualify top of his class with highest honors from the Royal Naval School Of Physical Training During his service he trained personnel ranging from Captains & Commanders through to new recruits & Royal Marines at various establishments worldwide for operational readiness He represented the military in Boxing, Athletics, Football & Field Gun for over 10 years A keen advocate of martial arts from an early age, Ronnie began studying Israeli Krav Maga in 2005 after reading David Kahn's first book "Mastering Krav Maga". He would eventually go on to train personally under David Kahn at his school in Princeton, qualifying as a certified Instructor in 2010. As a student of David's he has since went on to train the Royal Marines, US Marines, New Jersey State Police & members of the FBI in Krav Maga and continues to work closely with David Kahn to bring Krav Maga to a greater audience. He has had the honor of training with some of the best practitioners and highest ranking Black Belts of Krav Maga in the world in Israel, Poland & the USA respectively and continues to expand both his knowledge & skills to his utmost capability After leaving the military he enrolled in various projects for short films before landing the lead role & fight choreographer in the short feature film, The Devil You Know in 2014. He would go on to play extras roles in various productions and wrote the original screenplay for the upcoming horror film Deaths Door (2015) of which he will play the lead role. He is also the co-director of the Cayman Island's Poinciana Film Festival alongside his agent, producer & friend Badir Awe. He co-directed and co-wrote the feature film, "You Can't Kill Stephen King!" - a horror comedy set in Maine, which has sold domestically and internationally. Ronnie was also a contributing writer and co-producer of the feature film, "From A to B," which opened the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival and received theatrical distribution in the Middle East. He recently finished filming the feature film, "With a Kiss I Die," a dark love story starring Juliet Capulet (of Shakespearean fame), filmed in Greece, on the islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Samos, as well as Athens. His short film, "The Meter Man of Le Moutrechon" won Best Director and the Audience Award at the Miami International Film Festival's "Cinema Slam" competition. And his screenplay, Seducing Leyla was accepted to both the Cairo Film Festival and Dubai Film Festival as part of their film connections, as well as EAVE, one of the premiere European producers' film workshops. Ronnie was also on the selection committee for the Miami International Film Festival and served as a guest panelist at the Dubai International Film Festival to discuss, "Comedy Across Cultures" and has taught courses about filmmaking at the University level. He has been featured on ABC News, BBC, CNN, The World, NPR, FOX, the European News Channel, Air America, and Al Jazeera, and has written articles for CNN.com and CollegeHumor.com. In addition to his film accomplishments, Ronnie was co-Founder of The Middle Eastern Comedy Festival in Los Angeles and garnered national attention as the first comedian to perform in Cairo after Egypt's revolution, joking about taboo subjects such as politics and sexual harassment. Ronnie has performed with the Axis of Evil, Arabs Gone Wild, Sultans of Satire and taped two Friday Night Live Showtime Comedy specials in Dubai, including Minorities Rule and New World Order, as well as a stand-up show on Australia's Comedy Channel and the new Sirius XM special, "Ronnie Khalil, Unveiled in Lebanon."
