Sunghee Lapell: youthful 50s, physically fit and elegant Asian beauty. Educated, sophisticated, businesswoman...Sung Hee is instantly endearing. An open hearted and genuine mother figure who inspires calm and comfort. With contagious laughter, and a vulnerable spirit, everyone who meets her is put at ease. Sung Hee is deeply emotionally available. This is a woman who has worked hard to be grounded, authentic, and comfortable with herself. She is, however, no push over. Sung Hee can be fierce if pushed, and HUGELY powerful. With a sharp intelligence and education, and a mama bear's strength, she is a woman you want on your side when thecomes down. Think a Korean Cherry Jones: classy, powerful, sophisticated career woman, with a huge emotional sensitivity underneath. Or maybe the Asian Julianne Moore. In this way, Sung Hee will dominate roles where the mature woman of power (detective, Congress Woman, CEO) shows a huge amount of empathy for a younger person in trouble, and has just the right words - and the right shoulder - to help them out. In inverse, she will play the kind and loving woman who is underestimated, and can rise up and kick ass to protect her loved ones. Typical roles as casting realizes how strong an actor she is, will be: Foreign Emissary, Korean Ambassador, University Professor, or "Wife of the Defecting North Korean Party Member". And: sensitive and loving mother, hilarious school teacher, and thoughtful counsellor.
