Ari Cohen
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ari Cohen made his big screen debut in Guy Maddin's cult hit, Archangel (1990) and has worked steadily since in film, television and live theater. Recent films include Patricia Rozema's Mouthpiece (2018), It (2017), and It Chapter Two (2019). Molly's Game (2017), written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, Special Correspondents (2016), written and directed by Ricky Gervais, and David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars (2014). He was a series regular on Shoot the Messenger (2016) for CBC and ITV, in Gangland Undercover (2015) for A&E, My Babysitter's a Vampire (2011) for Disney, and The Tournament (2005) (CBC). His more than eighty television appearances include recurring roles on The L Word (2004) and Smallville (2001), and guest appearances on Ransom (2017), iZombie (2015), Quantico (2015), Heroes Reborn (2015), Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (2016), Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce (2014), Suits (2011), and numerous others. A highly-regarded stage actor, he has appeared in True West, Speed The Plow, Awake and Sing and as Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman, for which he was nominated for a Dora (Toronto theater) award for The Soulpepper Theater Company. Other nominations include a Dora for the world premiere of Sunday Father at Canadian Stage Company, a Jessie (Vancouver theater) award nomination for The Rainmaker and a Gemini award nomination for The Tournament.
