Cynthia Evans
Cynthia Evans fell in love with acting at 15 years old when she performed in her first school play. She studied music and theatre at Furman University before transferring to UAB lured by a larger scholarship. She earned her BA in Theatre there and then moved to New York to study the Sanford Meisner Acting technique at the prestigious William Esper Studio. After graduating from there, she moved home to care for her grandfather. She ended up in Atlanta, GA, and luckily, the film industry seemed to follow!
Cynthia has forged a successful acting career while based in Atlanta. She has appeared in hundreds of film, television, theatrical, commercial, and industrial productions. She is starring in a movie called Killer Night Watch that premiers August 25 on Lifetime. And she just wrapped a supporting lead role in the feature film, Five Feet Apart, that will be in theaters everywhere March 2019. You may have seen her among the star studded cast of What to Expect When You're Expecting where she played a supporting role opposite Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Quaid and Ben Falcone; or in the TV movie Tales: F the Police where she played a supporting role opposite Boris Kodjoe and Chet Hanks. She has appeared in several TV shows including Sleepy Hollow, The Vampire Diaries, Being Mary Jane, The Red Road, Drop Dead Diva, and Army Wives (to name a few.) She has also played leading and supporting roles in dozens of independent films. Between shoots, she often performs as Loretta Lynn and June Carter Cash in the show "Johnny & June: A Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter."
When not working, Cynthia loves to support causes that are close to her heart such as protecting our environment, helping people in need, and making kids safer in school and everywhere. She still lives in Atlanta with her husband, Michael Scialabba, and their 9 year old son, Corin Evans Scialabba, who are also both actors. Of all the roles Cynthia plays in her life, her favorite is the role of mom.
