Guillaume Aretos
GUILLAUME ARETOS is a Production Designer, he won the Annie Award for Best Production Design for his work on the Oscar Winning animated feature "Shrek" (2001). He has been nominated for three V.E.S. Awards for the "Shrek series films" (2001-2010) and "Puss in Boots" (2011). He has also voiced several characters in animated features, coming from a background of acting in France.
Aretos came from France to join DreamWorks in 1996 as a visual development artist on the animated hit "Antz" (1998), which marked the first collaboration between PDI and DreamWorks to produce the second ever computer generated animated feature film. Aretos then took on the Art Direction of Shrek between 1998 and 2001, and was the Production Designer for "Shrek 2" (2004), "Shrek The Third" (2007) and "Puss in Boots" (2011). He also worked on the Visual Development for the films "The Croods" (2008), "MegaMind" (2010) and "Truckers" (2012).
Before his career as a filmmaker, Aretos created a successful collection of Books as an author and illustrator published by Albin Michel/Glenat: "Le Livre Secret des Fourmis", "Le Livre Secret des Sorcieres", "Le Livre Secret des Extra-Terrestres", "Le Livre Secret de L'Au-dela". He also exhibited his paintings in galleries in Europe.
A graduate "Cum Laude" of L'Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts de Paris in Fine Arts, Aretos conjointly studied Industrial and Product Design at L'Ecole Nationale Superieure de Creation Industrielle. As a child actor, Aretos, lead a professional career in France, where he played in movies, television and stage theatre. He plays the character of Jack Tripper in the French version of "Three's Company".
