Sahil Sharma
Sahil Sharma is a theatre artist, director and a playwright based in New Delhi, India. He has been pursuing theatre since 2012 and has been a familiar name in and around Delhi's theatre circuit. Having acted in over 60 street-theatre and stage-theatre productions and over a dozen solo-performances, he started writing and directing plays in 2015 and has been conducting workshops based on theatre and communication since 2017 in state-funded schools across Delhi-NCR, India. He has judged various theatre-themed events at schools in Delhi and the colleges of University of Delhi. He has also been a part of various award-winning short-films i.e. SON (2018), Noir (2019) etc. His work has been covered in various leading dailies - including Navbharat Times, Times of India (Delhi Times), Hindustan Times, news and media-themed blogs. He had conducted workshops as a Theatre Instructor under the aegis of Teach For India. He has also funded various events at school-level under his foundation, Nishvasiti, which strives to contribute to the society via activism and inclusivity. He was a member of Asmita Theatre Group (Rangmanch Club) and has won many accolades at zonal, district and state-level events relevant to performance-arts. Apart from acting, he has also earned reverence for his poetry and public-speaking at prominent platforms.
