Sam Ashe Arnold
Sam Ashe Arnold is a Canadian actor known for playing Gavin Coscarelli in Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019), Zed Novak in Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever. (2018), and Will Wigington in Brotherhood (2019).
Following a year of classes at The Ottawa Children's Theatre, Sam was signed by AMTI in 2013. At age 11, he garnered critical praise for his portrayal of Joshua in the multi-award-winning short, Winter Hymns (2015). A string of lead and supporting roles in film and television projects followed, including The Adventure Club (2017), High-Rise Rescue (2017), and Creeped Out (2017).
In 2017, Sam spent a combined 20 weeks on film sets far from home - including Johannesburg and Bela Bela in South Africa for Phoenix Wilder and the Great Elephant Adventure (2017), Toronto and Wawa for Brotherhood (2019), and Los Angeles for Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever. (2018). He balances his professional acting schedule with his commitment as a senior drama student in the renowned Arts Program at Ottawa's Canterbury High School.
Sam is a strong supporter of Canadian independent film and has enjoyed working with several emerging filmmakers, including Meryam Joobeur (Born in the Maelstrom (2017)), Bastien Alexander (How Tommy Lemenchick Became a Grade 7 Legend (2018)), Joy Webster (Game (2017)), and Richard Bell (Brotherhood (2019)). On the international front, Sam supports causes devoted to ending elephant and rhino poaching and the ivory trade.
