Upendra Sidhaye
Upendra is a contemporary Indian writer with experience across multiple genres. He co-wrote the screenplay of the multiple award-winning feature film Mumbai Meri Jaan for which he also won a Filmfare Award. Since then, Upendra has written mainstream films like Blood Money and the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam, as well as dialogues for the award-winning Marathi film Killa, and the critically acclaimed Manjha. He also forayed into the digital medium by writing the screenplay of Eros Now's Hindi web series Smoke. Upendra made his feature directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Marathi film Girlfriend, and has also written and directed a Hindi short film, Out of Stock. Most recently, he worked on the feature film Mee Vasantrao, which he has co-written with director Nipun Dharmadhikari, which released in April to wide critical and commercial acclaim. His upcoming projects include a Marathi adaptation of Maheshinte Prathikaaram for Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Upendra is currently developing a feature film and an original series.
