Coretta Denesha-Scott Shaw (born July 3, 1987) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and dancer. Born Senatobia, Mississippi and raised in Southaven, Mississippi. Shaw was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a young age child. At the age of 15, Coretta released the debut of her single, Luv of Da Mic, in 2003, and also spawned a music video to the Mid-south community. She auditioned for a spot to be on the Coca-Cola team and landed the deal. Coca-Cola Inc. allowed Shaw the opportunity to write a song for the upcoming Fanta commercial. Although, there was not a nationwide release of her works, as a result she received a position on the local television show "TeenBeats" in the state of Arkansas for co-host. The local televisions show "Da Show" in Memphis, subsequently asked Coretta to host several of their shows as well. Following these airings, Shaw appeared on UPN and channels 13 News. Alex and Marybeth, the hosts of the morning show, welcomed Coretta and her back-up dancers with open arms.
