She made her U.S. TV debut that same year appearing on HBO's True Blood as a vampire. Those roles led to guest appearances on leading Chinese television shows on Dragon TV and Jiangsu TV, where Elsi was introduced to Chinese audiences. Being at home in two cultures comes naturally. Beijing-born Elsi grew up there and in Vancouver, Canada, where she immersed herself in dance (classical, hip-hop), piano (Royal Conservatory), singing (pop and beat box), sports (tennis, badminton, ice-skating and swimming) and modeling and entering (and winning) beauty pageants. After getting a B.A. in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, Elsi went all in on mastering her performing skills.
