At the age of 8, Khalid began learning how to channel his creative energy into local theater productions with The Finest! in Rockville, MD. In Beneath the Surface, premiered at the Court Metrage (Festival De Cannes 2014), Khalid and Danny Boushebel play a middle-eastern father-son duo who get bullied in a subway station. In 2016 Khalid was nominated for a Young Artist Award for his role on the NBC mini-series The Slap. When not on stage or filming, Khalid is usually working on his music. Although piano and drums are his favorites, Khalid has never met an instrument he doesn't love.
